  • Tom Yum Goong

I just checked Tony Jaa's website. Said Nov 3 the movie came out in Singapore. That being an english speaking country (somewhat), I'd bet they have an english subbed version. Anyone know how much longer till we can buy a mandarin version of the movie (that also includes english subs)? Any info?

some. i found the film. all in Thai, no subtitles until it's taken by a western distributer. that means next year i imagine. still, im tempted to watch it anyway, despite the small problem of not speaking thai. at all. not a word

it can be found on www.demonoid.com and probably isohunt.com but i havent checked the latter

Na, we just need an eastern distributor with no region code. Ebay will do the rest.

No the subs were done at the time of the Thai release. Most Thai movies that are first released in Thailand have both English and Japanese Subs.

You can look for a local Thai book and Video store the can get things direct form Thailand the only problem is the quality is poor. I am off to Thailand on Saturday I hope to get some when I am there.

The VCD has just been released in Thailand, no subtitles there.
The DVD release will follow but I doubt there will be any subs...when Ong Bak
came out in Thailand it didn't have any subtitles, and that is because it would have affected the sales of Europacorp, the company that released Ong Bak in the West.
I found Beautiful Boxer in Singapore with subs, while the thai release didn't have any. So you can try to buy it in Singapore, if you don't want to wait.
