We have a large (30' x 72') matted grappling area behind the black wall that's behind the boxing ring. Also a speed bag wall and stretch out area.

Many sets of Fairtex Thai pads, Kick shields, and focus mits. Rattan sticks (with skin), dummy blades, head gear, belly pads, Double end bags, free weights, dumbell racks, weight machines, Concept 2 rowing machine, treadmill, stationary cycles, jump ropes, step boxes, medicine balls, stability balls, and red guns. THere is a wooden dummy also but only a few of us know how to use and it's not really taught here (unless it's private instruction).

The .net is the new site (still under construction). The .com is the old site. We will be adding more current pics of new equipment, the new instructors with bios, training and fighting pics, and recent fight results.

We've added a second boxing ring and the new site is up and running. We are now thinking of updating the mats in the grappling area.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

If you are ever in Rhode Island and you want to get some Muay Thai, submission grappling, Boxing, MMA, or Filipino martial arts training...come down to the Battleground Training Center in East Greenwich and join in. You are always welcome.

    Best regards,
    William

          Thanks Tim.

The gym is 10,000 sq. ft. which gives us plenty of room to work with. Chris (the owner) was able to score about nine 6ft leather heavy bags which we are going to hang on each end of the matted area. This will give us another self contained area for me to go "old school" on the guys. If you're ever up this way, please stop in.

          Best regards,
          William

We are in the process of adding an octagon in the gym. The photos aren't the best...the black walls absorb the light from the flash. Matting and vinyl cover are now on and the ring will be raised up eventually.

Sprung wooden floor (matted & covered), changing facilities & showers, a reception to buy goods or to watch class, a sliding roof for warm summer evenings, and some training gear like boxing gloves and the club gumguard ;-). Music is played during class, and there's a subwoofer under the floor to add to the atmosphere!

I have a small Kwoon (school). I teach Traditional Chinese Kung Fu. I have a heavy bag for kicking & punching, a mat used to do some tumpling/grappling on, and some weights (curling bar & dumb bells). I have some weapons (just the ones required for advancement such as staff/bo, broadsword, 4 ft. staff, and whip chain) and I have sparring equipment. I've found thats about all you need.
