two bladed ginuntings and others.I talk of updated
technology and technology that has been tested and
proven effective.The group of Amoks( International
Blade Fighters Guild) are the group that took the
chance to embrace the secret of real knifefighting.
And anybody that teaches pekiti-Tirsia knife and
claims he knows everything about knife, just try to
contact Prof. Tom Sotis and try to test if it works,
the rumor spreads that someone claims he knows all
about knife, this can be true if tested and tried and
if not satisfied he come to the Philippines and we
will put it into the test. What technology taught
today is upgraded blended with the product of our
extenisve research and developments from the unsung
grandmasters of kali. People who wrote the book about
filipino martial arts has never even touch the surface
of the real filipino art. It was written on the basis
of what was already written but the unritten history
and the true history is not revealed. People who talk
that they didn't find kali in the Philippines must
have spend time in the KTV Bar talking to the bar
girls and waiters but never been into the hinterlands,
I have the right to question because I don't want to
hear that we filipinos are idiots not knowing our
roots. The reason I came back to the Philippines is to
complete my mission and that is to do extensive
research about the aborigins, tribal cross culture ,
dialects, languages of the malay culture, lifestyle of
the people as related to the art, authenticating the
places as landmark of Kali, tracing the history to the
Islands of Indonesia and malaysia.All about the
indigenous fighting arts of the 90 style of silats and
the various indigenous stickfighting in the different
Islands of the Philippines.When one talk about
Filipino art he must have authority. When one writes
about Filipino martial Arts he must have fresh
findings with extensive research among the islands not
to put people in the book with headgear and kicking
pads. Real Filipino fighting arts had no headgears ,
no kicking pads, no blocks,no stances. It is an insult
to show something in the book that is uncultured to
the filipino tradition.I don't expect anyone to agree
but most to disagree but if we talk about Filipino
martial Arts, it must be pure and authentic. If you
buy a Mercedez Benz with bearings of Toyota , with
gears of the Mazda and the Chasis of Ford will you
feel the comfort of the \Mercedez Benz and is it worth
paying the price as compared to the original Mercedez
