i really like jabs the best. i like using them offensively and defensively, just because its my quickest punch and requires the least amount of energy. i have a really good double jab as well, and like to use this sometimes. although my jabs dont have the power of my cross, they do have pinpoint accuracy and speed.

I dont like jabs much in thai boxing. too easy for the other guy to follow you in for the clinch. power punches are my bread and butter- right and left hooks, lead uppercut, cross, overhands.

I'm shorter 5'8" so I use a double jab to close distance on taller guys.
But I prefer the knock out punch.

yeah, rum punch is good too.

Right in the back of the head followed by three kicks while their falling over... or if they dont fall over right in the throat when they turn around.... that one usually does the trick

I've used jabs quite well when sparring in muay thai, especially double jabs or in broken rhythm. They are great for seeing how your partner is going to respond to you. If you pick up on that quickly, then you can start to set up and counter...

Isn't that referred to as 'trash can punch'?
