Who is going to win this great match up, if it is still going to happen?
I would have to say Hopkins due to his power and exceptional body punching skills that would wear De La Hoya down, especially in the middle rounds, and then he would go for the knockout in the 8-12 rounds.
De La Hoya is going to have to use exceptional footwork to stay out range for Hopkins power shots. If he uses his jab well, and can keep moving, and counter Hopkins' strikes, he could win by decision, but I do not know if he will knock him out. Oscar has strong power, but not on Hopkins' level.
If I were Oscar, I would be viewing the Jones Jr.-Hopkins fight for RJ Jr. is the only man to ever "truly" beat Bernard Hopkins.
