Look for some boxing gyms. A good boxing program should incorporate boxing training, strength training, and road work.

        Boxing Training
        Sparring
Heavy Bag, Speed Bag, Double End bag
        Mitts

        Strength
        Body Weight Excercises or Weights

        RoadWork
        Run.
        Distance Run, Sprints, intervals etc.
        Jump Rope

Just buy a 150 pound slab of raw beef or borrow one from the local market or whatever and do like Sylvestor Stallone in "Rocky."

One serious exercise to do for boxing though, is lots of pushups. These will build up the muscular endurance in your arms, so that you can keep on punching. Just don't do too many cuz otherwise you could suffer from overuse shoulder injuries (according to Pavel anyways).

I think you should make sure you are logging all of your routines and changes, the better to monitor your growth areas, your loss areas, and specificities of training. Great thread, by the way. Thanks Max and also thanks to Mike for the info.

I would say cardio should be your primary concern, swimming mainly. I mean runnings good, but swimming works your arms out aswell. Try and do as many different cardio excercises you can, so you dont' get bored of them because believe me just doing running can get repetitive after months. Skipping is another cardio, i'm sure theres others, but sadly i only of know of three cardio excersises. Sit ups, Push ups, Pull ups, dips are all essential to build up the strength and won't loose you speed. Shadow boxing is great for your speed, speedballs cost around £40, same as punchbags(way below your budget) either would be great but both would be better. If you have those two pieces of equipment and use them along with the other training i mentioned. That would be the makings of a very effective all-round training scheduele. Start of gradually and build up with it man, good luck on your fight also.
