as you guys know I have 1 and possibly 2 destroyed feet that may require surgery, but for the past 2 1/2 years I've been posting my left hand on the ground to help me get out of bed(bed very low to ground) cause my foot/feet are shit, this has caused my wrist to become a little irratated and the day before the 4th(I think) came the pain, ignored for a few days took 1 vicadin on 1 day(didn't help worth shit and I don't want to take any of the percocet i got left over) so I finaly went to the er the day after the 4th waited for hours to no avail, left the without being treated and went to urgent care got xray and splint most likely not broken just sprained/swelled. So now 3 out of the 4 limbs on my body have shit wrong with them I can't kick with either foot and now i can't punch with my left hand and I'm a south paw so what should I do/how long before I can start punching with my left hand again on equipment?

OMFG!!! THat is sooo funny! I can just imagine you in about a year from now doing some martial art where you only use headbutts, then later on some style based on insults. Eventually you'll be reduced to just glaring and scowling!

But seriously, I sympathize. A few years back I broke my ankle in a fall and I felt so bad 'cause I couldn't kick with that foot anymore because it was broken and I couldn't kick with the other foot because the broken one could offer no support and then after it healed I developed a fear of re-breaking it. My mobilty and footwork became just laughable. Look up some of my old posts on this forum and you'll find me wallowing in self-pity.

My advice; give yourself time to heal. Talk to your doctor about what you can do to strengthen your bones. Do everything you can to promote and speed up your healing (exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, etc.). Give yourself time. Allow yourself to wallow in self pity for a while, but not forever.

BTW, the third option of your poll might actually aggravate the situation, if

That was really funny. Mean but funny. BWG needs help and we laugh at his pain and misery... what does that tell ya'all about us?

I could tell you about my wife's fight(s) with cancer. She can't do 1/10th of the stuff she used to but she gives that 10th her all.

      Every day...

They say "misery loves company" so if you wanna compare scars or something shoot me a PM.

Somethings makes me think that this option will not work!
        You'll be four limbs down.

It takes time, a long time. I fell off of a 50ft dam one time and landed on a cement pad. I thought I landed pretty well, but the cement was so wet and slimy that as soon as my feet hit, my right foot slid out from underneat me. I had 4 sprains and 7 broken bones, all in my right foot. All they could do is put an aircast on and tell me to take it easy. Cost me almost $500 for that treatment, man how they take you. For about a year I had a large bump on the outside of my foot, and still couldn't put all my weight on it. It took almost 2 years before I felt comfortable jumping off of high objects and landing on that foot. I feel great now, it just takes a long time. Have you considered moving to a warmer location?

          thanks guys

for the posts and votes, actually I have inflamation in various tendons/ligaments one torn one and 1 that's "going bad like a freyed rope",I never injured my left foot but have some inflamation wtf? And 2 bones in my right foot don't move correctly so they may have to get fused. I can still fight with both elbows, and 1 hand as well as head butt which I always like to do any way just to be an asshole, I can also bite I think I'll start training again, I aggravated my foot a mounth ago by walking 2 1/2 miles in my air cast.So my feet have been shit since then but I must hit something before I go nuts.

            LOL mike

we've got conceald carry here but I don't feel like spending $500 -$1000 on a hand gun aNd I get violent when I drink so carrying is probably not a good idea,(actually I had to get rid of my folder because of inapropriate behavior when drunk)as far as getting jumped I could always carry the steel cane I had to use before I got a cortisone shot in my akle joint(still trained at home even when walking with a cane) I do own an sks(and a bolt action .22 and a 20 gauge single shot shot gun) with monte carlo stock and 3 38 rd clips and 1 5 shot clip so when I go to the range I don't get tackled by homeland security for having a pre ban clip in a post ban gun LOL. I always wanted to go to the range with a insurgent table cloth on my head start spraying bullets into the target via getting a tri burst for my rifle, then scream real loud "ALLAH HU AKBAR" like 100 times I wonder how many people would pop a cap in my ass LOL

              Blue Wave

Had 20 years worth of quacks (some were good doctors) that brushed me off.
Broke both feet, rear metacarpals, the right one 100 percent disunited (completely in half, nice straight line).

One doc went to slap his knee, he was laughing. Told him I'd been running six-flat miles. He said, ha-ha, that's one thing we don't need to do is take x-rays of it. If it was broken, you couldn't move!

I have serious damage to connective tissue and arthritis in my left wrist, though I still have a left hook. A good orthopedic surgeon brushed that off, too. Said it's a ganglion, like a cyst, I think. No biggie.

Saw top-notch hand surgeon, guy you want to see, got fingers, a hand sewn back on. Very, very thorough evaluation, super complicated. Said, "So these docs gave you OTC naproxyn sodium 10 years? What orthopedist said ganglion?" Said, general, hips, shoulders, back, whatever.
"Yeah, he'll do anything. Do brain surgery on your mother." Unquote.

So, get a really good specialist to check that thing out. Doctors figure if you can use it, it ain't broken. I had four doctors jabbering outside my room, looking at the x-rays I finally got them to take after eight months of running on that foot. "Rear third metatarsal, 100% disunited." Medically, scientifically impossible...but I did it. Like sprained ankle, right?

I thought I was a tough guy, can take pain, got the attitude I ain't seeing no candy-ass doctor, tells me I need a note from my mother to buy toothache pills. I got over that, glad I did. You get pain meds on the Internet with medical records, 110 percent legal all 50 states. Go drugbuyers.com, people with chronic pain, can't get meds any other way.

Not one word of this is exaggerated. 'Fraid no advice for you; I just kept using limbs, training, following instincts, building (right hand screwed up too, forgot) myself back up. You are the man, dude. This shit happens. Hit on ass by VW bug last year, butt hurt for months. Put foot in carburetor, ran like batman. Tell you I have artificial hip, too? Whole 'nother story. Bad pain, two years, will screw you up. Have stories for guys like that. Ask me, we talk, compare notes. Takes a lot out of you. Better off with Rx or fix surgically.

              John

                thanks dude

Actually my hand has healed quite nicely, so only the destroyed ankle/foot is an issue now, but no matter, I'll be back in the big dance with a quickness cause can't no body fade a good looking, multi dimensional, slick, smart fighter stud like me on their best dam day, and that's real
best wishes John, from Da Kold Stunna, who says fighting in a ring could not be funna, tell the honeys I'm da big gunna LOL and I'm out we don't love em' though

Get a cane, a rocking chair and a good scowl. Go outside to the porch at around 3:30pm and make a legend of yourself to the neighborhood children.

I sympathize, I once broke BOTH my ankles while doing a round-off, X-out. Bad times.
