  • Beginner boxer needs a bit of help

Hey guys, I'm doing Jeet Kune Do right now, but want to learn boxing for the punching efficiency. I'd want to keep my jeet kune do stance, footwork, hand placement, etc. But if anybody has a site showing different combos and stuff. Like a 1 is a right jab or something? I see things like

    1 1 2 1 3

and don't really know how to apply it. Plus any tricks/secrets, like setting up a closeline to use it for bob/weave drills.

    Peace

work on throwing a correct jab, hook, uppercut, cross. Use both hands, make sure your not "telegraphing" the punch by letting your shoulders cock back before you throw the punch. All the combos in the world or useless if your opponent sees them coming.

the Jeet kune Do stance and the boxing stace are pretty much the same. Your front and back foot are at a slight angle to your apponent and your back foot is up off the heal.

If you're into buying books, the book I wrote does have a fair amount of boxing combos. But it's a KickBoxing book.
