to me that could have been any striking art except for maybe Wing chun.

eg. jkd, muay thai, karate, tae kwon do, other kung fu styles, or of course boxing.

it was just a jab cross combo with advancing footwork. fantasticlly applied but still it could have been any style.

not being a smart ass here, just making an observation.
Orthodox boxing stance with punches thrown boxing style.

It was definitely NOT JKD punching.
Definitely NOT TKD, kungfu, or karate...they each have their own respective punching "flavors."
        Muay Thai...maybe, but unlikely.

Plain and simple...no matter what he practices, THAT was boxing. Boxing footwork, stance, mechanics. If he learned it in a different style(possible) they borrowed it from boxing.

It was just an idea. Im not saying i or anyone should do that. And getting punched and kicked in the face for a few seconds is something alot guys can handle, and recover from. I guess some of you are just whimps and have never experianced what its like to be getting hit in the head, hard.
Bareknuckled? When applied by a trained or powerful striker? No, you don't just recover from that. Depends on targeting, but the point is the critical targets really become CRITICAL when the gloves come off.
I've dropped a pretty fit, athletic guy with a single right cross to the solar plexus. You can't really "handle" a hit like that. And I'm definitely not going to call myself a "great" striker.

Another thing is the shots you CAN take, will create lasting damage when bareknuckled.
I have eaten a jab to the nose...it didn't hurt at the time, but it felt swollen for almost 2 weeks afterwards. Ate two hooks to the head, left and right, the one I took to the top of the head didn't faze me, but the one I took took the ear hurt like hell. Your ear getting blasted is not a concern when you've got gloves.

Yes. The random punch to the head by someone with no formal experience can still hurt a lot and still KO you if hit in the right(wrong) place.

Yea I noticed that too. My Neuromuscular memory would have just thrown a front kick to the face or a kneww to the head while he was on the ground like that.
