  • order of boxing equipment use

    This thread could also be in the kb/mt and mma section but I though I'd post here because I'm doing a boxing workout.
    Ok here's my routine:
    10-15 minuets warm up/stretch
    3 rounds shadow boxing
    6 rounds double end bag
    3 rounds light bag
    3 rounds heavy bag
    my question is ater the shadox boxing is it better to stick to a specify number of rounds and order of which equipment I use first second and third
    or would it be better to jump from equipmnet to equipment in different or even random order to use the muscle confusion principle of weight lifting or is that not a useful tool in the martial art paradigm. Can the muscle confusion principle be used in ma training or should there be a specific order after I'm properly warmed up like this piece of equipment first,then this,then this?

      Improving punching skill for self defense purposes and getting a good ma workout also could I add a weapons component or should that be done in a strictly weapons work out? Just brain storming lol

        I looked at your profile and it says you are 30 years old. Assuming no shoulder injuries or other upper body injuries and based on your goals I would say, mix it up. Do different things on different days. Some days I spend a whole two hours on just the heavy bag. Other days I do a circuit type workout going from station to station. Try to avoid premeditation. Go with the flow. Put on some of your favorite music and try to workout to the beat.

          u better watch what stretching it is u do to warm up... can result in injuries.
