  • Miguel Cotto vs Yuri Foreman

Cotto will try to wrest the WBA junior middleweight crown from Foreman at the New York Yankee Stadium on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) to rebound from his loss to Pacquiao last November.

The Puerto Rican boxing star lost his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title after suffering a 12th-round technical knockout to Pacquiao, thus making the Filipino the first boxer to win 7 world titles in 7 weight classes.

It will be no easy task for Cotto to trade punches with Foreman, who at 5’11”, is 4 inches taller than the Puerto Rican.

The 29-year-old Foreman (28-0, 8 KOs), Israel’s first world champion, won the WBA title by securing a unanimous decision over Daniel Santos.

Cotto (34-2, 27 KOs) held the WBO junior welterweight title from 2004-2006, successfully defending it before vacating it to win the WBA welterweight title at the end of 2006.
