Mike Tyson- No need to explain.

Roy Jones Jr- Good speed, good attitude, just lacks some power.

    Ali- Just think he's great.

as a martial artist, i choose bernard hopkins. he even says it himself, that he is a streetfighter who also bozes for a living. he brings to the ring a streetfighter's mind, which makes many fighters great. hopkins will intimidate his opponent, he will try to hurt you, and he will even break rules (right before he lost a point) to take away his enemy's courage. he will talk trash in the ring to make sure his fighting techniques will crash through his opponents heart and mind. and when he gets on his opponent, they cant coast or box, they really have to defend himself.

but as a boxer, probably my favorite is floyd maywether. he has the best skills in my opinions of any boxer. i like roy jones, and he have to rely on his speed instead of skill, which is where most of his fans get that part confused. when you have speed, you can make anything work, but this doesnt mean skill. put two men of the same speed together, the one with best skill wins. maywether has the best package of speed, skill, reaching ability, quick reflexes and power. even that he lost to castillo, i think he is going to be around a long time. everybody loses somtimes.

one of my favorite fighters of all times, is marvin hagler, terry norris, and hit man hearns. they had a good combination of speed agression and power. but only hagler had a chin.

        My choice is easy

        Roy Jones Jr !!!

The speed,Power, and skill are amazing.

        Yes i did say " Skill "

Many ppl look at his speed and says he does'nt have skill ,but he could'nt do the things he does without skill. It takes alot of skill to make another boxer look outmatched.Speed is not gonna make you look outclassed.

Also anyone that can go start in a semi-pro basket ball game score over thirty points and have a triple double then jump on a plane and within two hours later knock out your opponent in a boxing match is.

" Pound 4 Pound " one of the best boxers of all time.

          Roy Jones jr.

My favorite boxer, is Roy Jones jr. He has cleaned up his division. He has made it look nothing short of easy. Still people are giving him a lot of gruff, saying " you haven't fought anyone". To appease them, he is moving up to heavyweight. I believe he will beat the tar out of John Ruiz. Let's not forget how he beat Kelly from Austrailia. Jones put his hands behind his back and then rocked Kelly (Glen Kelly) with a right hand, to knock him out and win the fight.

I know this threads old now but I thought I'd add my 2p worth...

I get fascinated by the historic boxers that we know so few facts about, like Gem Mace, Jack Johnson and Gene Tunney.

For instance, Gene Tunney. Who is this guy who, like, comes out of army boxing, beats Dempsey thru skill and tactics (twice, no less), and then goes away and dies three years later thru a mysterious illness?

            like, wow, man.

Dariusz Michalczewski. He is very tallented boxer. There was no situation that he was unpreparred for the fight. He won with almost every good boxer in his weight. His record is 48-0-0. He ended the biggest part of his fights by KO. He has great left hand.
I'd like to see his fight against RJJ. It could be intresting one. I, actually think that he could win this fight, especially, that he is one, that goes forward and forward, not stpopping tp press opponent. And also he is very resistant to punches.
So, there is my vote forf Michalczewski (I can see all you guys starting to write how would RJJ deffeat him, but look at facts, not only at the show that he is making!)

I think Jonny Tapia is interesting to watch- the way he taunts and carries on in the ring is funny.

Jack Dempsey: aggressive, good tecnique, pure punching power

Mike Tyson: The Mike Tyson of 85' or 86' was nearly unbeatable. Extremely powerful, very fast, and he was better at defense than most people seem to realize (he was great at slipping/bobbing+weaving).
