What is a move I can do if a power puncher is punching me and also duching down about midsection and hitting for my gut, or what about speed punchers.
Thanxs
In order to experience true peace you must first overcome true hardship.

hey, i box abit with my friend and he throws mad hooks to try and knock me out, so ur saying to counter throw hooks to the side hes throwing?, he has a strong side, but this might catch him off guard..cool
1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.
Welcome to the Socialist States of Amerika . Coming soon Jan 20th 2009!
Against a big puncher I'll usualy move in lead with a jab and tie him up. Try to get a couple of hard punches while cliched before your broken up. This uasually will take him out of his game.
Of course you can keep to the outside ranges and snipe him. I like to go in deep and put him on his back.
On an earlier post, I asked about ab conditioning. I've added some of those excercises to my drills in case I take a body shot. When he comes in with body shots, where are you in the ring? Aginst the ropes, in the corner or in the middle?
If you are against the ropes, try side stepping and springing back with a cross to the body, uppercut combo. If your side step is commited and quick, this will change the angle and move you away from the ropes.
If you're in the corner, I might try getting a good clinch and make sure that you stay on top of him so that he has to work harder.
In the middle of the ring, if he hooks for your body, step in the same direction as his hook and hook his head (i.e. if he throws with his right, go with the flow by side stepping to your right while immediately firing a left hook to his exposed temple/jaw).
