  • Update for those of you that care (Tom Yum hint hint wink wink)

I talked to my mom more, and looked up boxing places. She said she has no problem taking me once a week if I get a job. My friend and I are gonna go and she is gonna help me fill out like 20 applications tommorow. Yesterday I got "Boxer's Start-Up: A beginner's Guide to Boxing" It was quick I finished today. It was really good. Today I'm going out to get a new pair of sneakers cause my old ones are beat up, I'm gonna get those high-top converse shoes that were popular quite a few years back, cause they kind of remind me of boxing shoes . When I call the place what should I ask for? Boxing lessons, a coach, a trainer, a class? There is my update and question for now. I want to thank you again Tom Yum for being real helpful throughout my seemingly game of 21 questions, but in reality I was just trying to learn as much as possible.

No prob..there are a lot of boxing gyms that charge a monthly fee (lower than most health clubs) that provide you with access to boxing equipment, gloves, training gear and weights. Some places have contracts, others don't.

On top of that you will have to ask for a coach who trains fighters at the gym. He might charge a fee added to your monthly contract and schedule you to meet at certain times. Talk to your coach about fees; if you are a poor student, I think he'll try to work with you.

    Good luck with your training.
