  • I prefer Wing Tsun - don't care for flash and forms and southern styles are just more practical.

That seems like a pretty broad generalization considering the wide variety of both northern and southern systems. What do you feel makes southern styles more practical?

        • Northern and Southern styles are both pratical. But the Southern styles imo are more direct in seeing or teaching application.

          • the debate.

Emin Boztep started as a wing chun practitioner he just advanced him slef beyond what Wm. Chueng was at the time. Not saying that Master Chueng is a slouch but GM Yip man taught the same to his students it was the student that changed what was taught. Wing Chun or Shaolin it is your choice it has to do with what you want to learn and how your body works as to the style of martial art you choose. Shaolin is great as is Wing Chun but a dedicated student in wWC can learn all of the forms in 3-5 years where as Shaolin will take you longer. Good luck in your quest.

                • no. i am not saying that he has things to do with the movie, just that the techniques are similar to the ones emin botzepe does.

Hmmmm... I think I've seen this movie before, even if it was in French (Crisse Tabernac!)

Fight from Jing wu men/The Chinese connection/ Fist of Fury/La fureur de vaincre. The subtitles are a translation of the french version, so they are not nec...

                      Ahh!

Perhaps Emin could do some wing chun after all.

                      • this is the first wing chun movie i seen that really had wing chun in it.

i love michelle yeoh, but her wing chun scenes were weak.

i'm suprised this movie didnt get popular before. it looks really good.

I agree. I wasn't as impressed with Warriors Two either.

My only complaint with this new movie is the similarity to the Jet Li movie, Fearless, at the end. But that is only a minor complaint. I am looking forward to part two.
