there are so many different schools and styles here. what style are you looking for
There is a brazilian jujitsu school on madison and fairoaks.
Kovars karate is everywhere. tkd is everywhere ( i dont recommend that).
Krav maga( brutal and effective) on sunrise and cirby.
anything man just depends on what you want. Do you like flowing circular arts? take kungfu. Hard linear styles? take a karate style. korean? take kuk sul won.
either way the best thing to do is grab the yellow pages and start calling around and ask questions.
do you want the emphasis on kata? fitness? sparring? weapons? self defense? grappling? flashy kicks? lots of questions to ask
just depends on what you want.

in my school, we emphasize fighting technique and training, even in my kung fu class, where we are practicing form, we focus on kung fu style fighting.

my jow ga is a small part of my school, they train separate from the philippine martial arts students, except we spar together from time to time. there is lots of competition between my kuntaw students and my kung fu students, which is very healthy for them all.
