Like all myth and legend behind Wing Chun there is not one credible source that links or names speed of learning as the foundation of WC. The foundation is built on simplicity, efficiency and economy of motion, which may have the intonation of meaning it can be learnt quickly, however you will find it takes a long time and much energy to "strip away the innessentials" I do agree however that ultimatly it does come down to both the teacher and the student.

I think we a talking semantics, perhaps I should have used history to replace foundation. The point is WC was developed to be an effective system in a comparatively short time. The efficiency and economy was a function of designing a system that could be used quickly. However, even if that were just legend and myth as you say, school espouses this belief so who should bare the blame when they [schools] come up emptied handed. Bruce Lee did not learn the entire system when he first arrived in the US but he was very effective with what was learned. My point is merely that, when a persons art is criticized, the first argument is "well if you had studied for 20years or if you went to Hong Kong and study with the right people, etc" I can make WC work that all I care about, but I know from previous posts that Thai practically lived at the kwoon. While I don't agree with his assessment of all WC I can understand and respect his view or others that feel similar.

What do you mean "no rules", its obviously a grappling match, meaning no striking, but everything else goes, except for like biting and eye gougeing. The only way you would be able to defeat GJJ or SG experts in GRAPPLING is if you were to be an expert in a grappling art yourself!

I have been to many GJJ schools, and defeated all comers. I cannot say where, though, as I have accepted a sum of money (merely as a token) for my silence.

Just trust in simple mathematics for the answers. Sticky handed re-direction of force will beat outside muscle any day of the week.

My 28 alphabets of wingchun will stop the force of your mere 8 alphabets. If you try to fight me up close I use my wingchun if you try to take me down I will trap your arm and attack you 4 times, would you want risk geting your other arm trap too? Therefore, WingChun is superior.

Dude Phil, you like totally got me wanting to do WC, which is the real stuff with absolutely no bulls*it and no rules as well! You helped me and hopefully others realize that sport grappling and sport striking arts like boxing are at least a little bit inferior to the supreme Wing Chun. Thanks!

Absolutly, I have studied 7 different arts over my live time since 8 years old, so far I have not found a stand alone system that can hold a candle to Wing chun

Shaolin Chowga (a Vietnamese derivitave of Shaolin)

Gin Mo Kune (derivitive of Shaolin under Sifu Malcaolm Sue in Perth WA)

No. Jeet June Do does not exist. Neither does Shaolin Chowga or Gin Mo Kune. Tae Kwon Do and Shotokan are plainly the same. And "kickboxing" can mean anything.
