William Chueng is not a fraud. The art of WingChun has had many different styles created by different masters of martial arts. William Chueng since he was a teacher at Yip Mans school could have been taught a more in depth version of Wing Chun. This version most likely was the Traditional. Most traditional shaolin arts has larger movements and kicks and this is not missing from GM Chuengs art. Also even Yip Man himself was taught a different version of WingChun from his master Chun Wa Shun than some the older WingChun stylist. Remember he learned a new version of WingChun from Lung Bik. The styles weapons were adapted from the Shaolin Temple and changed over time by different masters. This important in Wing Chun and this conversation since the arts butterfly knife from changed from master to master.
William Chueng could not have gained his skills without the tutelage of IP MAN. His hands are faster than light. His sensitivity is second to none. His techniques are flawless. If you really want to be destroyed fight anyone in his style. I've seen it. The movements are faster, more lethal, and direct than the modified version. GM also knows the modified version thoroughly including the correct Bil Jee form. This form was rarely taught by GM IP MAN. Today people lie and say they know it and make up their own form. That's funny. It's funny until you try to apply it. I would Never discredit a GM unless i was one myself. Study WingChun thoroughly and you will find that the style does not matter. You will find that the purpose is to eliminate your opposition and the techniques are too close from school to school to point a finger on who fake and who is real. WingChun was made to destroy other martial artists. It is one art to destroy the rest. It nullifies attacks and uses devastating force at short medium and long ranges. It is not a only in-fighting art. IF you believe it is only close range you should practice harder and be sensitive to your movements.
