Anyone use Wu Shu?

I've started Wu Shu not long ago, Under Master Jinheng Li.. www.masterli.com he's pretty famous in china and among the crowd I think.

I'm just curious if anyone else is involved in the art.. I LOVE it and I plan on being the best at it I can be.

Not worth it.

Beijing Wushu Team's facilities at National Cultural University in Beijing are far superior than at Shaolin, and the instructors are far more capable. Most American Wushu teachers who come from China will bring their students back for a month or so during the summer for training, usually runs around 3-4000 dollars.

I'm assuming you are talking about modern acrobatic wushu, of course.



I'm sure Jinheng Li is using the term 'master' as business practice, but be aware that addressing wushu coaches as "master" is not allowed in China. (Besides, the word for master is teacher anyways). The national sports federation makes a VERY big point to distinguish wushu as SPORT, not martial art, especially so in the IWKF's recent olympic bid.

ever been to trickstutorials.com? the tricks they teach is based on wushu techniques. its a good site with a nice forum.unfortunatly, the registration of new members is down so you cant register yet. its a good flexibility/fitness site.

Im a traditional wu shu practiotioner.

But I guess you are referring to modern wu shu, and would call my style 'Kung Fu' ?

Hello wushu ppl. i was just wondering if any of u have gotten 2 wepons forms yet, if so wat wepons are they. also, does any 1 else do 2 man forms, im currnetly doing spear vs. broadsword and a 2 man emty hand form.
