First off, there *are* forms in kfss- they're all (as I understand it) hand forms, which can then be translated into weapons forms.
You are correct about there not being any flowery weird moves like parting the horse's mane or w/e.
KFSS is a very serious art that is exclusively for self defense, and is very brutal, etc. It's a very diverse art, and typically wins in real self defense situations. It has joint locks, takedowns of all sorts, attacks, all kinds of strikes, body manipulations- if you want to genuinely fight and fight effectively in any number of situations and against all sorts of martial arts, then kung fu san soo is the way to go.
I heard that San Soo was a spin off from wing chun by adding some hung ga elements to it.

From, my experience, it has everything you need, whethers thats, grappling, striking, joint locks, etc...

Although it will really depend upon, which style you choose, and whether you can see the right application for your situation in the forms.

It includes joint locks, throws and take downs, although you will find differences from one style to the next.

shaolin has everything you need to be prepared for battle, (without guns)

it does have extensive locking/trapping/grappling training methods, chin na trapping training has many forms, i am starting to learn eagles claw chin na trapping methods, from what ive seen so far its very effective,

              peace,

Me, I personally have a lil bit of everything. I like the crane & snake because I small and fast the tiger and dragon becasue they have the power. I know a lil leopard and some monkey, and Eagle Strikes. I love when people try 2 talk smack and then do tha Eagle hit or tiger palm 2 the face or neck. Now I don't love 2 fight, but it makes me feel a hell of a lot betta knowing I can knock out any1.

thats real nice but it isnt the CMA's...The title of the thread is the Best KF style..not the best non traditional style. Please refrain from insulting the CMA's by suggesting the best KF art is a hybrid from other styles.

Techniquely speaking, JKD isn't even a martial art, its a concept and philosophy.

i incorperate both southern and northern methods but to be honest, even though i am abot 6,3 i should favour the northern because of my reach, but i do prefer southern fighting styls, but nowdays its to jumbled and southern and northern mean nothing they are one,

                                peace,
