Hm. Probably true. But I'm fairly certain that before a person finishes it off, his belief system is crushed, his net of "friends" is either non-existant or believed to be dishonest, and he sees no value in self. Again, your point is probably true, nonetheless of my opinion.

Hm. My understanding from anatomy/physiology was that it was extremely stupid to try to bleed yourself out by cutting arteries at the end of an extremity, as that's going to be where the LEAST blood pumping is happenning.

But, as you're an EMT, I guess I'll have to defer to your knowledge.

We resuscitate under implied consent. Implied consent is based upon what a prudent, rational person would want. In the case of suicide in most states it actually becomes a criminal matter.

The same goes toward patients who threaten to kill themselves. We (well laws enforcement) have to place these individuals in protective custody or they will be held liable if the person offs themselves.

Well, you won't die in a matter of seconds but you will bleed out enough. It's still much easier than hitting artery as these are typically buried deeper in the tissue

K first of all killing yourself isnt being strong, its being some dumbass who needs to stop crying about their life, I donno what type of people your talking about but the only people I ever hear want to kill themselves is 15 year old girls whos boyfriends dumped them or something, its so stupid, how is it the way to deal with it, "they found out that societys definition of love.." or watever you put is bull crap too, just cause their ugly and no one wants to love them doesnt mean they should kill themselves... jeez...

On another note, the video game note, Mortal Kombat all the way, more so deadly alliance (the 2nd newest one) but the newest one as well, those games are awesome, they wont let you turtle (hold the R2 (block) button) because you can just step to the side, the levels of difficulty are good, try beating deadly alliance on max... took me so long, and its got more variety then any other fighting games ive played, also the fighters have different martial arts they can use, not just one, theirs no boxer, or kung fu guy, youll have judo, and muay thai, (plus weapon) , or Tai Chi and San Shou, and all of the martial arts are researched and performed well by the motion capturers... pimpest fighting game. Plus the fucking fatalites and whatnot are hilarious, not the most realistic thing, but who doesnt like pulling out someones spine.

Oh and prince of persia (although a sick sick game) is not a fighting game, its more action/adventure. There were others mentioned......

OH and the best fighting game of all time, Bushido Blade 2, for the Playstation, you fought with weapons and only weapons , and you could kill people in one hit, thats what fighting games need, for instance they could say "fight" and you just throw your katana threw the guy and you win, nice realism, although that was fairly easy to block you could catch people off gaurd, it is an amazing game because there are no life bars, and at any second you can die... i gotta go look for my copy of that, long post eh.
