  • This f***ing kung-fu class......

Alright, at my university here, for people and clubs to have practices and such, you have to reserve the dance studio a lot for stuff like yoga club, martial arts club, martial arts classes, etc..... to avoid conflicts; anyhow, the kung-fu class of the "Shaolin Kung-Fu Academy" here holds their classes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from like 7PM to 9:15PM. Only thing is, the b-boy club, of which I am a part, has the studio reserved for 9PM to 11PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. Now the kung-fu class thus goes into our reserved time.

Which is B.S. I think. Today (Friday), they had the studio reserved until 8:30, but because they've "always had class until 9PM" on Fridays, they wouldn't let us in, even though it was free time then. So I mean like WTF!?
I told everyone else I'd complain, seriously, over this, I mean, I don't care if these kung-fu people have "always gone to 9:15PM" or whatnot, they need to change that, we reserved the time for starting at 9PM. On a Friday, with free time, okay that is one thing, but going into our reserved time on Mondays and Wednesdays is baloney.

However, one of the bboys told me that they themselves have done some crap too, so they can't really complain. Why they'd do that is beyond me, cuz you want to be able to complain over stuff like that, so you want to make sure you're the goody-two-shoes when complaining.

So I mean am I and the club thus up the creek without a paddle right now?? Or do you guys think we should complain over this 15 minute interference? That may not sound like a lot, but when you have schoolwork to do, 15 minutes can mean a big difference. Or when you have a shuttle to catch, too!!

Also, I don't know how on the fricking earth they can call this a "kung fu academy." First off, they pass off that B.S. about kung fu being based on "speed and agility, but not physical strength," upon which I say, look to your left, look to your right, you dumbf**ks, every agile and fast animal and fighter out there needs physical strength IN ORDER TO BE AGILE AND HAVE SPEED. They don't do any heavybag work, they have like zilch in terms of conditioning drills, and the instructor is some fat lady!!!!!!! The main head of the "academy," is some fat guy too, but he was in shape in his youth, at least according to the pics of him. But this lady couldn't be older then 30.

Yeah I am mad, what would you guys do??

Breakdancer is a b-boy, breakdancing is b-boying. B-boy and b-boying are the actual terminology of it, "breakdancing" is just some stupid term made up by the media.

Depends on how you look at it, but to serious bboys, calling them a "breakdancer" is like walking up to an Army Special Forces guy and calling him a "Green Beret." They just seriously don't like it.

I would adress the overlap in times, I taake it they are paying, see if they are paying for 2 and ¼ hour or not, if they pay for 2 hours, adress the owner of the studio about it, if that doesn't help, enter the studio at 9:05 and start doing warm up excercises, reclaim your time, they steal 12.5 % of your time

Why not just have a fight with them? They will be easy to beat.

Hmmm, well I wouldn't call them "silly dancing boys," in the early days of b-boying, stuff like that led to real fights between gangs. Don't believe that stuff about gangs using b-boying as a means to settle disputes to avoid fighting, that is baloney to.

As for the comparing the b-boys to Special Forces guys, I knew that one would get a crack like that from someone; I was expecting it. But don't knock on b-boys though, most of them are far stronger then most "martial artists" out there are.

HuSanYan, what's with the comment, I don't get what you mean ("Go get yourself into a ballet dancing class.....you saddo..")??? I know it's an insult, so " " back to your to but I don't get it.
