      Time keeps rolling.

I think after a while it starts becoming a question of what came first, the chicken or the egg. So much of the history back then wasn't written down and just passed down in stories. Then you have to worry about people putting their own spin on things.

I suppose all that really matters is that at the end of the day the arts exist where they came from and what evolved from what really dosent matter because all arts are effective if trained with dedication and skill.

i reckon the chicken came first it had to have come first because it would have needed to evolve into a chicken to be able to lay eggs lol!!!!!!!!

          Life in England

Since you're in the UK, have you ever trained with Master Leon Jay? I'm not exactly sure how far he is away from you, but he's the inheritor of Small Circle Jujitsu ( form his father, Wally Jay), he's also a 6th degree in Ryukyu Kempo under GM George Dillman. It would definitely be worth checking out.

              Expansion of the mind.

I'm not really big in touting other martial artists, just propaganda, but I believe his school is in sussix. It makes me wish I was over there. He's such a down to earth guy whose been involved in ma his whole life and is so talented in everything that it just makes me sick. HAHA

                  Huh?

Leon Jay. He doesn't put on any of the airs that a lot of people in his position seem to. It's very refreshing.

Yeah when i become an instructor i just want to be myself down to earth and genuine and not abuse my position as an instructor, because ranks in martial arts just show other students how much knowledge and experience you have it dosent change who you are as a human being, or well it shouldnt and if it does thats a sign of weakness in your character, im comfortable with who i am and no title of Sije is going to change who i am, im a people person and i love to socialise.
People wanting to learn martial arts come to instructors for guidance and not to be made fully aware of the fact that they know nothing, some find its for them and others find its not for them and go on to do other things.
Life is all about learning not about reigning supreme!!!!!!!!!!!

That's cutting it short, Kung fu can be internal as wel as external depending on the style
Uchinadi or Okinawa te was probably external and from this point of view, the old masters that combined it with chinese kung fu, were primaraly interested in the external aspects of Kung fu

From what I know Kung fu was one of the first arts in the eastern world, next to some type of indian boxing. Karate came after that as it went all across asia. TKD was some sort of primative boxing in korea which later were influenced by karate. Kung fu is very broad, from internal to external and half casts.

I think it also depends on what style of kung fu you are talking about because the origin would be slightly different for every stlye and therefore the move would also vary
