sounds basically like a Wing Chun guy went to learn Muay Thai and did good on his first match doesnt really sound like he used Wing Chun at all

1960's: Wong Yam Chun(Wing Chun) vs. Muay Thai
        winner Wong Yam Chun

cant find anything on this at all.

yah, it was prob. a thai boxing match, even though they billed it as Kung Fu vs. Muay Thai, it was bascially your standard Muay Thai match.

            Sorry for the late entry.

His correct name is Tham Kuan Seng not Tan GuanCheng. He is my kungfu brother. He practised 7-star Praying Mantis.

He won his 1st championship in 1972 at age 17 during the Malaysian Championship organised by the Choy Li Fatt school. In this championship, we won 2 1st place and 1 3rd place out of 9 catergories.

In the 1974 match, it was an invitational matches where 6 kungfu men vs 6 thai boxers. 2 won and the other 4 lose.
