What Mix Martial Art brought to the table was a make up call to some and a excuse for others to carry on the present marketing of the MA.

Mix MA is still a game. The question to ask is what can we do to revitalize the arts or let all the 10th degree before I am 45 years old, creators of my own system, like to open a school under me ass holes take over a drive the MA in to the ground.
    Very well said, MADDOG

      JKD? Where did you study?

      Also...you've trained some ground.
And why is it that every other person on this forum is a goddamned bouncer?
I hate bouncers...you bastards keep me from my alchohol!

I don't blame you for being upset at having your BS questioned, but don't get too emotional.

Now, if you have any specific question I'll be glad to consider it.

And then you proceed to tell us the exciting stories of when you twice about broke even and twice got your ass kicked. Stories which reeked of BS anyway.

I think any martial art, if practiced hard core as realistic as possible, could be used in street confrontations.

However, I also believe that versitility is the key.

I already have. Do you fight in the ring? What art, if any, do you study? So far your keyboard fu has been less than impressive. Please don't PM me and tell me how mean I am, or how I started this or cuss at me like you did the last time. Just answer the questions

I , and others have askeg these questions before and you always resort to attacking instead of answering. It's called redirection and is usually employed to cover something up. So, when you answer those question I'll 'consider' if I should acknowledge your existence.

Again, the topic is 'Chinese MA's in real life'. So, regale us with your indepth knowledge of CMA's and how they do, or do not, relate to 'real' life. Otherwise just get a 'real' life.

Please, don't cry. I hate it when I make children cry.

So, reading is not your forte either. Dang boy, is there anything you can do?

So true. Knowledge I gained in the years I worked as a doorman is at least as valuable as any training I've had. Learning how to react to different situations and expanding your knowledge is key. So many peeps get caught us in the 'my arts better than yours' game they never open their minds to other possibilities.

My roommate in college trained me in JKD. He was a Marine brat and learned while in San Diego. No idea who his teacher was or anything. Trained for only that one year.

Bouncers ain't so bad. You gotta maked friends with them so you won't ever have to pay cover charges!

Yes, I was in charge of doormen. I managed some bars (although two simultaneous, the rest not all at once..leaving for the next) in famous New Orleans, Louisana-on "infamous" Bourbon Street.

I conducted seminars for these doormen. I had laid down foundational principles and tactics. There were many problems with clubs having to go to court because a doorman could not defuse a situation properly.

Although no longer formerly employed by these club owners, they still call me from time to time, to conduct training seminars. One must understand that a doorman-bouncer, has to realise the limitations of their job. They have to remain calm as possible and difuse a situation before physical uprisals.

Chinese Martial Arts in real life-just like any other martial art-applicable only from the dedication of the practictioner.

I have studied many, many things, but wrestling is my main deal. Been doing that for going on 28 years now.

What do you consider "in depth"? More than your, what is it now-one year or less?
