from what I've read, Kung Fu comes from a mixture of Indian boxing styles and Yoga, and developed to be a more complete martial art due to robberies of the temples etc. It was a constantly evolving art, so where it started, or when it started being called Kung Fu is definitly something people have been arguing about for centuries.

Do you mean KF as in a martial art trying to achieve Kung Fu (very rough translation = "skill achieved through hard work and time"), or do you mean KF as in CMA which were named KF by a province of China (where Honk Kong is) who made films, reffered CMA as kung fu, and spread this name via these Movies?
