Yep you have me, knifethrower, to think for bringing this long haired dope smoker to the forefront again No thread is too buried

Can you give me a move out of any generic Tai Chi form to illustraight this, something that most other Tai Chi people will understand also? When I do fa-jing there's a Reboud in the other hand/body; is that what your getting at? Being that it's one of the other Thirds that Erle dosen't have, I doubt I'm going to guess this right away.

Double Phoenix punch maybe? If so that would make the whole strike a "closed" one...or would it?

Basically I need a common frame of referance to work from, in other words the form, but if you can come up with something better, go for it. Good luck. I know the internal is a bitch to talk about.

Yes i do old Yang...(I better not get any of you sick basterds taken that quote out of context ) so lets talk about Double Pheonix Punch or Carry The Tiger Back To The Mountain (I'll get back to your exercise in a minute). My form can get pretty wierd so keep that in mind...At the end of either of these strikes, plus many other places, I'll get some violent, wicked, crazy ass shakes; so yea, I'm looking at about 4 or 5 punches in under a second. I never tried to do this kinda stuff; my form just got really wierd one day and thats when Taiji started getting real fun

Now before I go off thinking that I'm some kinda bad ass kung fu guy or something, I'd like to say the mitt is a different story. My punches tend to puss out around the wrist area; they are nothing NEAR what Erle can do...but give me time However, I can break a board (one inch pine) with a one to six inch palmheal strike; which I think is a good indicator of fa-jing. Right? So I might be on the right track to understanding what your talking about.

The violent shakes are the only way I can think of to get the "striking both sides of the jaw in opposite directions 4 times under a second". This is kinda like a dog when he bites down and starts shaking to kill something. Maybe its the same shaking that this Bagua dude does? In the video clip below, that old guy got in a horse stance with his palms facing out and started shaking. I havn't forgoten about your exercise, but what do you think about what I'm saying so far? I'm I on the right track?

One of the most comforting things i ever read was that in his elder years when asked what he would call his art, Sun luc tang replied "Changing palm, because its different every time I do it"

                Earle?

Is that a recent clip or has Earle faded into the background. His advice was insightful though
