kung fu is a bastardisation, is it pronounced gong fu, and it is not a martial arts style, some westeners insult gong fu for its true nature and defenition, it can be translated a number of ways, hardwork/skill/dedication,etc

FYI-future use; A better word than bastardisation would be "misnomer".
