As rediculous a demonstration that was, I think that having that kind of flexibility, speed, and explosive strenth is great no matter what your doing in life, especially martial arts.

Boarspear this is not form the 70's, it's from the all china games in the mid nineties...the first guy is acalled Yuan Wen Qing and was all china champion since about 1988 until late nineties.
