the concept of anti-grappling is to not wrestle the opponent. they grab you, you strike, you stay loose and relaxed and it's harder for them to get you in an arm bar or lock. Anti-grappling is executed on the ground, after you've been taken to the ground.
we know that alot of kung fu styles assume that they won't ever be taken down. we don't think like that. We train for what to do when taken to the ground by a grappler.
They pull you into them you go with it. they push you back, you go with their energy. If you fight against where the opponent is directing their force a stronger opponent will beat you. If you flow with their force and redirect, you can overcome a stronger opponent.

okay define forward force internal, what makes your force internal?
BTW drop the foward force nonsense mkay? its annoying as hell, We all know about forward pressure, Bruce Lee explained it quite nicely thank you.

This is a concept that I still have a long way to go in fully comprehending, although I am able to utilize it. It is the building of Chi and controlling that energy enough to redirect, and absorb an attack, and generate striking power. You use this when you "block" (re-direct the opponent). Like Ki in the Japanese styles harden the body with the mind, the Chinese train to send this energy forth when striking and blocking an attack.
I've only trained for 3 years, I've still got another 5+ to go for my Level 1 (black sash) and mastery.
Forward "force" is activated by forward "thought" mind over matter so to speak. Bruce Lee touched on it when he wrote about punching through a target. You "aim" to hit an opponent 6 inches through their body, follow through constantly moving forward. When you board break, for instance, sure, you could use strength, but to break cinder blocks this takes Chi force. For the concrete is stronger than you.
I'm an assistant instructor with the school, and still have much to learn about chi and wing chun. My Sifu has studied 10+ years and has a far more indepth understanding.

Striking
Force- Wing chun focuses on maximising force in the most efficient way. Movements use natural structures of the body that are anatomically and mathematically the most effective in executing and overcoming force.
Newton's third law, Force=mass X acceleration, this is used in wing chun striking. WC uses the two variables mass and acceleration can be fully exploited to achieve max force. - Grand Master Jim Fung ..
(i.e. when I punch I don't just throw my arm strength and arm mass, I step in using the fist as a battering ram with my entire body weight behind the punch.)

I hear lots of math and alignment mumbo jumbo but thats essential to every martial art and doesnt explain whats internal about WC.

Funny reading Boar... You're a master baiter... ( I mean that with all due respect of course.) Is that better than being called a troll? I sense the lure is an artifical bait so I mean "troll" in the fishing sense. Not the hiding under a bridge sense.
