Although I am still a novice I have seen a pressure point/ dim mak training figure and diagram, and to answer your question there are a lot, from your head down and all in between.

So then why cant Dim mak points on the body be used in mma? It would be totally legal. I tell you why, because executing pressure point strikes involve too much time and precision to actually hit a worthy opponent(in a fight where both combatants KNOW theyre engaged in combat). Sure, pressure point strikes stun and can possibly even kill people, but theyre better as a sucker punch type deal rather than a strike in an actual fight, with multiple, fight-ready opponents, who are possibly armed.

Look at the MMA combatants. Granted many have studied traditional CMA/JMA or otherwise. But overall these men are all buffed fighter/weightlifters. Skilled though they may be;they train to hit first and hard. Period. Admittidly I don't follow the MMA like many others do but from what I've seen the fighters largely abandon their traditional arts and opt for out and out puggin'/grappalin. Like you ,they see no value in dim mak striking so they don't study it, which is fine, they have found what works for them.

MMA combatents are buffed up because they need to be in the best shape possible to have an extra edge over their opponents. "They train to hit first and hard"???? What, are you supposed to hit second and with little force? The reason dim mak strikes arent used in mma is because they simply dont work! It may work in the street(1 on 1) against some punk/thug that is not expecting it. If one relies in dim mak or any pressure point strikes to win fights/defend themselves, theyre gonna learn the hard way when theyre faced with tougher circumstances. I realise alot of TMA techniques work in the street and NOT in the ring but dim mak will not be realistic in any kind of fight, period. Sure one can pull it off maybe a few times in a fighting situation, but its not as consistent, simple, and effective as a good strike(close hand, open palm, elbow, knee) to the face, eye area, throat, etc. Dim mak teaches you to do a technique(which is a great one) on an opponent standing still with their hands down. There should atleast be sparring(its possoble) when using PP strikes. But obviously dim mak or PP striking is working for you................so keep doing it!

What do you think KOTF? I think they can. But its not gonna be easy hitting those specific point(in a real fight) or even hitting anything at all.

                      ???

7r14ngL3Ch0k3 how much do you actually know about pressure points, where they are located on the body and how they are accessed??? I'm not asking to be a jerk I'd just like to kknow.

I already know the answer to my question. I just asked it for the edification of others. While I have only been studying the subject at hand for 6 years or so, which is a mere drop in the bucket. I think maybe you should do a little research. Google an accupuncture chart and it will give you a general idea of how many pressure points there are on the body, and where their placement is.

Okay numbers, here you go ranting again You seem to suddenly be a dimmak expert....please tell me what art you you study that IS dimmak? Perhaps you can tell me how many points shaolin temple recognizes on the body for fighting? And please tell me how you know the way dimmak is taught, you seem very sure of how its taught and it only being used on non resisting people, so I'm curious what your experience is? Somehow I suspect you saw a couple of clips from frauds like Dillman and decided you were an expert, which makes you as big a phoney as dillhole and just as stupid sounding.
