  • Jumping kicks in weapons forms?

At my kund fu class they just started teaching a saber form and it looks like there's several jump kicks in it. I was just wondering why they would put jump kicks in a weapon form? I'm sure they have their reasons, it just seems like a bad idea to me.

For show. Are you sure you are not taking modern wushu? If you are, most of that stuff is for show.

I think he said it's the baqua saber form in case anyone's familiar with it. No relation to the martial art style of bagua.
