for all martial arts fan did u hear the rumors or is it true jackie chan and jet li together in 1 movie...if this gonna happen im sure ull watch it coz this movie has combination of style like jackie chan's wing chun and jet li's wushu and he also do jeet kune do like he did in other movies...cant wait to see this and learn..

jet li has never known JKD no offence

Jet Li has done a lot of background into JKD and many, many other techniques, but none of them has he actually looked to study and progress in through belts. He just uses the techniques he needs for a movie. As already said his basis is the show art of Wushido, which he is amazing at (World Champion back in his competitive days). Bearing in mind he has never actually training for contact fighting.

Then you have Jackie Chan who is the complete opersite, he has training in many martial arts based around fighting - he got into martial arts through the fighting roots.

It will be great to be the show mans martial art and the competitive martial arts put into one, I personally cannot wait!

The rumors are that it is actually going to be an Asian film (i.e. subtitles or dubs over here) and therefore the belief would be that rather then the current action films of Jet Li or the comedy / entertainment of jackie Chan, we may be treated to an old school Asian fighting movie... But as you probably read, Jet Li has said he is trying to break away from his martial arts image and looking for work in other films, so who knows really?

I think the think is here, Chan and Li were meant to be making a film in 2002/2003 which was co-written, that got cancelled, so I think the new rumor is that the new film will star them both, but not be written by either of them, but the guy who did Hero, what's his name?

HONG KONG, May 16 (AP) -- Jackie Chan and Jet Li -- two of the biggest names in action cinema -- plan to join forces, a news report said Tuesday.

The stars have signed on to do a movie tentatively named the "J&J Plan," the Chinese news Web site Sina.com said.

They're still brainstorming about the plot for their first collaboration, which begins filming next year, the Web site said.

A formal announcement and pre-sales will be made at the Cannes Film Festival, which starts Wednesday and ends May 28, the report said.

Publicists for Chan and Li did not immediately respond to calls from The Associated Press seeking comment.

The two actors made their names as action stars in Hong Kong before moving on to Hollywood. Trained in Peking Opera, Chan pioneered his own comedic fighting style. Li is a former martial arts national champion in China.

Chan's Hollywood credits include the "Rush Hour" series and "The Tuxedo." Li starred in "Lethal Weapon 4," "Romeo Must Die" and "Cradle 2 the Grave."

there were roumers liek this in the 90s about arnie and stallone and they came to nothing. I don't think jackie and jet li will, as they would cost way too much to hire both of them for a movie.

That all depends on the movies budget does it not? If it is a big money movie then im sure they could easily afford both of them. It would also bring together the relative fan base of both Jackie and Jet plus action and martial art lovers. It should have a pretty big audience so i see no reason why they would cost too much.

"It takes a hero to know a hero" as Jackies agent said, they both have showed desire to work together, but need a script that will be successful, they do not want a flop and ruin both their credibility.

i hope they will also show jet's mistake now at the end just like jackie even his a martial artist he still accept his faults,weakness and never ashamed to show it since the start of his career.. i hope jet will show it now...
