  • Nice Bajiquan sparring video!

Obviously the Muay Thai guy is a lot smaller and an amatuer at best. But I think this video shows off some of the shoulder attacks of Bajiquan.

Bajiquan specializes in attacking all eight parts of the body, including the shoulders and elbows.

That shows the benefits of I-outweigh-you-by-150lbs.-fu more than anything else.

what does this style consider the "eight points"? because if you count shoulders i see 11, not even counting a muay thai guy's shins.

that "muay thai" guy wasnt even doing muay thai. if he was, he is a total noob. he didnt even have his hands up and he kept backing up. no counter attacks, no setups, he didnt even have the proper stance. that video was a kid, a total beginner in martial arts, vs a big black guy that towered him lol. wtf?

                I second that.

The muay thai guy crossed his legs while moving all over the floor and kept randomly changing stances. When he kicked, he didn't seem to turn his hip over so he never generated any power in anything that would hurt the bigger guy.

He also lead with a lot of kicks without setting anything up, didn't follow up with any punching or any clinch work.

He's a beginner, maybe with 2-3 weeks of training? I could be wrong.

If the black guy is a baji instructor, he should be fighting someone with maybe 15 amateur muaythai fights? That would probably level the skill gap a little.

                    This is not Bajiquan

i think this is not bajiquan at all. not that i know the art, but chinese martial arts does not do things this way. the baji man's kicks clearly shows that. his style of attacking is not what we know of chinese movements. but still this fight shows something from which we can all learn about.

another thing i noticed was that the black dude wasnt wearing gloves while the smaller guy was. they were both using their fists......that makes quite a difference as well.....

Bajiquan? ROFLMMFAO. NO! That was not Baji. Just because he threw a shoulder strike and a punch doesn't make it Baji. None of the power generation methods, stepping nor striking combinations of Baji were exhibited at any time. Baji's characteristic attacks and power were absent, along with it's throws. That was musclefuckfu, not Bajiquan. Baji looks like this:
