Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong and Sifu Jason Wong teach Tai Chi and Choy Li Fut Kung Fu for kids and adults at the HQ of the Plumblossom Federation in San Francisco
The one im thinking about joining is the one in san francisco. It looks ok to me, but I'm pretty new to this so I can't tell if it's good or not. Can anyone help out?

The name says it but, don't take my opinion as I don't do Choy Lay Fut. Wait for those who will come and give you more info. I'm not saying this negatively, I just can't give an opinion other than the name is good.

Each "whole" is made up of many smaller parts with out each of which it is incomplete: so, to understand a greater concept, one must first focus on a Small Thought!
From the little i know of Choi Lay Fut (a couple of friends have training it in Australia), it is a very hard (ie: external) and quite agressive style of kung fu. It is famous for it 'war punch' and pantha fist, utilising many large and round movements.
You would get a better idea from someone who actually trains the system but from viewing the website, the school looks credable with serious instruction.
big name
big organization
not sure what you're looking for from a kung fu school
this one don't meet what i'm looking for but tons of folks seem plenty happy

the school looks ok. but it all depends on what you want. the owner is a grandmaster, but ur probably not going to learn from him. you have to check out the instructor
personally i look for the older sifus. the ones that has been doing it for like over thirty years

Well the sifu for the san francsico one is his son, so I think he would be ok?
Choy lay fut is long-arm boxing, lots of hard techniques with the entire lower arm where other styles would use the hands.
I would suggest checking out the school for the quality of the training and maybe youtube for how the style is actually practiced, how it looks to you.
after all, as someone else mentioned already, you have to find the style that fits you personally in a natural way.
