  • What is poison hands?

I just heard about a CHinese martial arts area of study called "poison hands", can anybody tell me what it is? Is it like presure points or a synonym for pressure points or is it different?

It's more movie magic B.S. It sounds more like a ninja thing than a CMA

I have actually heard of it being referred too but it sounded like another of those gimmicks to get people in the door. Even if it was a "real" area of study I'm sure it involved hidden needles with poison on them in the hands somewhere or something to that effect.

Actually poisoning someone with just a strike is pure fairy tale nonsense bro.

Maybe George Dillman knows that style.

We have something called poison hand strikes. It's just different hand strikes such as tiger claw, immortal man strike, thumb strike, leopard paw strike, ox hand strike, palm strike, pheonix eye, two finger poke, back two knuckle strike, chicken wrist strike, iron palm strike, etc.... etc......

There is no magik or anything to it. It's just a name to refer to all the hand strikes we have. It does not refer to the death touch or the dim mak.

Qi Disruption strikes. Simple. If your Qi is disrupted you get sick.

Depending on what system you are talking about, poison hands sometimes refers to high level Iron Palm abilities where you strike someone with very little outward signs of power and they are injured.

Other systems talk about using a progessively more poisonous liniment, along with a daily antidote where you are carrying around a level of toxin in the skin that is then transferred to another when you strike them. Being that have not been exposed to said toxin, they become ill.

The first definition is definitely more realistic than the second one which from a safety standpoint is nuts.

Strikes such as vibrating palm that disrupt a persons chi flow can cause injury. It works on the meridians that run through the body. These are the channels that chi flows. If you block the meridians or damage them then the chi can not flow and the person will become sick or injured.
