    if i were to teach, i would teach nearly 100% chi sao. words are great, and fancy moves are great too, but how best to give someone the experience of "feeling the fight" without getting hurt? i say chi sau all the way

      It's better then nothing. But not nearly as good as the real thing. The one you fix on the heavy bag does not allow proper foot work or angles.
