I am finally working out again and have been introduced to the Ba Duan Jin and Yi Jing Jing for the first time ever. My training sessions are only one day per week so I plan to try to lots of research on my own in an effort to make my sessions more effective. Does anyone have any recommendations on good books or videos on those two exercises? Thanks......

I'd recommend dvds rather than books. You can get both on Amazon or martialartsmart.com
If you're looking for good info on the Ba Dua Jin, you can't go wrong with Yang Jwing Ming, or Tu Jin Sheng. Stuart Alve Olsen also wrote an extensive book on this particular Qi Gong.
Amazon.com: Qigong Teachings of a Taoist Immortal: The Eight Essential Exercises of Master Li Ching-yun: Stuart Alve Olson: Books
There is a really good dvd on the Yijin Jing that you can find here.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Glad this thread came up again.
Check out Jesse Tsao, he has great instructional Qi Gong dvds with instructions for breathing and synchronized movement. The accent can be a bit of a problem at times, but if you can get past that, it's the next best thing when an instructor is not available.
He released both the Ba Dua Jin and the Yi Jin Jing.
Hope this is useful to you.
