  • KOTF weekly.

So I did post in the other thread this week, but since I already had some stuff recorded lets kick off the first Sunday of KOTF weekly.

    BJJexpertise here you go.

In my first vid I had some dummy work in it. A couple people didn't understand the exercises so here are the applications for them.

    Enjoy.

Yeah buddy. I saw what you're going to school for and I don't know how you have time to breathe.

I gotta say, thanks again for taking the time to post a video of your thoughts and show us your awesome video editing technique .

All in all, I gotta say that it was fascinating to see the wooden dummy drills applied to actual use. I greatly support the parts that have you pivoting. Pivoting removes you from your attacker's line of fire, forcing them to readjust their stance in order to attack you again, giving you opportune moments to follow up with more strikes to run them down or to simply back off. What do you guys think?

That's all the time for input I have as of now, will check back in later!

I like the pivoting too. Its a big part of my training which king of goes against the grain of the MT training I've done where it's more of a war of attrition! Getting of your attackers line is an ideal place to be to launch effective counter attacks....it's worked for me in reality.

KOTF, I like the close quarter stuff you demonstrated....I agree with the methodology once you're in that close, there is no need to load up for big strikes when multiple short and explosive elbows/open hand techniques will do the job....hopefully they will confuse the attacker enough so that they can be set up for something more powerful and fight finishing. This is similar to the Senshido RBSD training I have done and I have found it to be very effective.

                Thanks for sharing.

My boxing coaches drill it into my head for the pivoting. After you throw your combination always use head movement and pivoting to take yourself out of the line of fire then go from there.

                    Thanks guys.

The whole idea is to get the opponent to commit to something and then react to it in such a way as to move yourself off line, but at the same time basically cause them to run into your attack.

I've seen similarities on a basic level in out boxers.

Has it been a week already???

Here you guys go. I decided that maybe covering basic concepts first might be a good idea.

These are all conceptual, meaning you can apply these ideas to multiple situations.

I am just showing some examples that are going to be readily recognizable to everyone, no matter what art they practice.

There isn't any ridged "It has to be done exactly like this" , in these concepts. Different situations and stimuli will exact different results.

However if the basic concept is applied it will work for anyone.

You may see cross over from concepts into your own personal arts. This is natural because people can only move so many ways.

The art is just the road, the person is the vehicle.

                        Hey TeachMonkey,

Keep watching my threads so you can learn how to fight for real.

And know that attacking me on youtube with all your LARPer friends won't work since you can delete comments and ignore users. Or in your case losers, Fatty Eargrind!!!!

You are king of the forest only here. Every where else you're just a tit.
