Don't worry, it has no merit whatsoever. Welcome to Bizarro World.

If it's so bad leave. The option is always there.

IMO I see plenty of sword work, that could translate to stick and like or sword like implement. Including field expiediate weapons.

I see timing smooth fluid motion that translates into quicker cuts, and foot work.

As well as rhythm, but no blues.

That's about as likely as Michael Jackson being reincarnated in a Catholic orpanage, and getting karmic payback on a large scale.

Nothing of the sort is written anywhere in either the Torah, the Gemorrah, the Hummash, or any other sources of Jewishness (just per some crazy chance anyone had any doubts,) but what do I know... I'm just a shameless heathen. Lordy, lordy.

On a plesant side note, when I try to visit his web site, I get a friendly warning from both Google and my browser, telling me this site may harm my computer.

            Further questionable, yes?

I get that from this website on a weekly basis.

I don't get that from his site. Might be something in the java, happens.

It actually looks a bit like Korean folk dancing, which many assert is the footwork used in Tae Kyun.

According to his biography he has extensive training in Korean MAs. His garb is definitely reminiscent of the uniform worn in Kuk Sul Won.

Perhaps he did fabricate Abir. Maybe he pulled a few techniques from old tribal systems and extrapolated on them. Maybe he is trying to resurrect and old MA based on some texts he's found. If it works for him who cares?

There are no tribal systems, let alone any traces of the tribes. Nonexistent. There IS plenty of larping. Haphazardly swinging a sword or a spear is about the closest you can realistically get to an authentic Israeli "tribe system."

Maybe he is trying to resurrect and old MA based on some texts he's found.
Ashida kim sells those. Very ancient. I can sell you mine for $50 if you want. I just have to finish receiving the sacred ancient message from the super ancient prophets that live in the mountains of Chicago.

If it works for him who cares?
                  1. We don't know if it works for him, I don't see him pressure testing it.
                  2. The guy is a shameless larper raping a culture to make a buck. Only for the second time in history, it happens to not be Chinese culture. Same shit, different country.
                  3. The guy is the epitomy of all things wrong with the modern MA scene. Too much jedi crap, not enough realistic MA training, and honest people. That's why I almost completely gave up on TMA.

As we all know broken rhthm is the way forward

Seriously though, I dont see much control or fluidty in his movements, more a kinda epileptic Morris dancing thang. he spends most the time staring at the ground!!

As someone may have pointed out earlier, he's repackaging bits and pieces of what might be TKD, Kali, and various Shaw Brothers chunks of IMA into an "ancient lost Israeli tribes" package, and doing a half ass job of it, IMO, a la Jason Brinn.

If this guy wasn't so obvious/hilarious, I imagine his Bullshido thread would have gotten more serious attention.

Again, from a Jewish historical perspective, this guy is utterly delusional.

We should care, because he's also trying to market and sell this crap to other people.

Nahh thats not why I care (I mean if you buy into that you dont deserve money) its more because people here are saying that that sword demo has some practical merit as a training excercise.

                          I just dont get it!

Don't get me wrong, if he was at least honest about his bits and pieces compilation, I'd be less critical of the guy.

However, I would still be curious about his credentials. Is he qualified to put together his own art, or did he take a few years of TKD, a year of Kali, and some Taijiquan dvds, put em all together to look pretty, paid the fee to the Sokeship council and suddenly became a soke of such and such?

Guys like that make me realize just how much chlorine we need in the TMA pool.

                              Don't buy it. It's a free country.
