  • Any Alchemy in Martial Arts?

When we talk about Taoist Alchemy and Internal matial arts, is there any connection?
For example the video I found on Youtube. Is it martial art or alchemy? Or both?

Both alchemy and art. If your defining them in a Jungian/Crowlean manner.

Well, I mean not just theoretical or philisophical aspects... It's obvious that everything is interweaved
      What about real application?
What is alchemic in martial arts and what is martial in alchemy?

IMO, for what it's worth, one is for meditation and health, one is for hitting people. Both are necesary, but not at the same time. If You were to take Tim Cartmell's word, training both for the same purpose gets in the way of MA development.

Does it mean that hitting somebody one must forget about alchemy and meditating one should avoid power, martial concentraion, etc?
Can you suppose watching the video that the guy practises alchemy for example? If not, than how it could be seen?

To put it plainly, when you're punching someone, focus on body weight behind the strike, the target, and not getting hurt, not magical blue energy from your navel making your punch penetrate your opponent's heart chakra.

Your Qi Gong will serve as the base conditioning that allows your body to deliver these strikes. I doubt you will get much out of fighting+meditating (fightitating ?) that is, if you expect to win. (There probably are exceptions to this, but they are the EXCEPTIONS, not the mainstream.)

If you aren't snapping your punch, but instead leaning into it with body weight, you aren't punching you're pushing.

If you're not turning base metals into gold, you're not practicing alchemy. Or at the very least you're not practicing it correctly. Much like this guy.

...the alchemy of chinese gongfu means that you are under the influence of the stars. Every day of the chinese lunar calendar is "governed" by an element. When doing your awakening qigong be aware of what element you are today. Today and yesterday were "governed" by the elements metal and water.
You might also calibrate yourself to invite different animals.
I am repeatedly perplexed by the accuracy of chinese alchemy. But be aware. Practicing chinese internal alchemy means going with the masses. Not a bad thing.
Remember also that you choose your reality.
I have been practicing splitting fist for a few years and recently another fist manifested itself when i was chopping wood.
I may choose to believe that the chinese sequence (smashing follows splitting) is the original sequence. I may also understand that i have seen the next chapter in the book without greater care but i have seen it.
Eventually it does not really matter.
Nobody controls anything and when you go to war one has to have made peace within.

All this he's saying is an eloquent way of telling people to live in harmony with their surroundings, which is done simply by being aware of what's around you and fitting in.

In many situations the best way to help people is by making them think you haven't done anything at all.
