buying pads

Hi, when I trained kung fu we used muay thai (kicking?) pads to train elbows and other hits. They were rectangular and pretty thick. I moved in with a friend that used to train with me recently and we were looking to start up again.

The pads seem to range from $20-100+ so i'm looking for the most durable and thickest that will be in the $20-40 range.

How do you like kung fu? Did you also learn philosophy associated with this kind of martial arts? Any way I want to make a custom writing essay about kung fu and opinion of a person who did this art can contribute a lot.
