But what if he fakes, keep distance and switch stances with shifting weight from both legs?
Depends on his next move, but you can go very far plunging down catching at least one leg... one solution could be to roll away, but this is not the most effective.....
Once on the ground we are far from being defenseless as we know how to kick, punch, block, trap, evade from the floor....
Actually 80% of the advanced training is on fighting from the ground.....

There are stances where you start fighting siiting or half leaning on the floor...

Ah yes, you can also feint with a 45 or rear kick dropping down with your front leg while kicking and moving into a ground scisor...

          Hello yentao.

I read some things about them, was always interested in south east asian chinese culture and did some research on fil. chinese history as an amateur ......

Actually the Wa Chis were mostly active in Bulacan, they had one full division there.....
Did you know the HUKS received training from
infiltrated mainland chinese communist army officers in order to fight the japanese?

I just wonder about the Wa Chis martial art training....

          Dadating ako sa isang linggo....
          Thanks,
          Christian.

This is a real interesting thread, I haven't seen much discussion on Ngo Cho Kun elsewhere on the net.

I don't train in NKC myself but one of my colleagues used to train NKC in Kuala Lumpur under a master known as Chee Kim Tong (since deceased). He said that the late Datuk Chee (obviously Hokkien) was declared "Head of System" or something like that at some NKC grand conference in China. I note however from your threads that the main SE Asian NKC schools seem to be centered around the PI.

Have you heard of the Chee Kim Tong school? Datuk Chee also used to teach Wu Chu (not Wushu) and practice healing arts, he was quite a famous healer.

                              Just interested to know.

                                Master Chee

Yes I know Master Chee. He was known here as Master Chai. I know he was here long time ago at the funeral of NCK grand master Lo King Hui of Kong Han School.

I heard that some of Chee's students even come here in the Phil. to learn Ngo Cho Kun. I"M NOT SURE THOUGH!
