  • Origin of Limb Destructions?

Okay, I know I previously posted a thread about a similar topic regarding defanging the snake a while back, but I was wondering about the empty hand limb destructions (elbow destructions for straight punches...using the knee to destroy low roundhouse kicks). Where did this originate from? I have studied Modern Arnis Mano-Mano and Lightning Scientific Arnis in Manila, and neither one of the arts taught this as part of the empty hand repotoire. Some info would be of great help. Thanks.

We use elbow attacks against fleshy areas of the arms and legs as well as strikes to the hand/elbow in silat in order to slow down our opponents, but we don't call them limb destructions and they are not our main tools of defense.... it's curious you didn't see any in LSA...... were you shown the LSA unarmed knive/stick defenses? It seems to me that they use them while defending against weapons.....

Most traditional martial arts have had them.
