Does anyone do JKD/Kali (Inosanto Method Kali) ? I was just wondering what you think. It seems like they are very different systems, but maybe combining them makes sense. What do you think ?

I think that it is a very, very good system. However, it is open for interpretation, which is good for some, bad for others. Sifu/Guro Inosanto is very big on the belief that the student should be allowed to follow their own path and progression and not be made to fit into a mold. Some will take the art and be very artsy and flashy, while others, like myself will be very combative with it. So, it depends on what you are looking for and it depends on the instructor you come in contact with.

Inosanto
One thing that I think makes Inosanto so great is that he doesn't have that "it's my way or the highway" mentality that so many martial arts "masters" have. I was at a kali seminar last weekend over 2 days, and the Filipine master was saying that we should only study his system, that if we cross-train, that is bad. But Inosanto, like Bruce Lee, sees it differently. He basically says, see what is out there, integrate it, and use what is useful. He once stated he only uses 10% of everthing he has trained in. But he has SEEN it all at least once, which is so important.
