All you need is love........and a sharp blade.....a hardwood flat stick......Oh, oh, oh and a Paraordinance lda 14.45 loaded with 230 grain hydra shocks, ranger SXT's or golden sabres
Just use a length of thin pipe myself. It's perfect for me. Maybe not for you, but i find it exeptional. I tried using rattan sticks with the skins on, but i've got short fingers so i found it harder to grip. Good ole pipe has the same width but a greater weight.
I went to the home improvement store and purchased a couple of Tapered Oak stair railing banisters. Cut the ornate ends off and viola, now I have 27" tapered oak sticks. They go from 1 1/8" to 3/4". Knurled the large ends and stained and oiled them. They have a nice weight and are very strong.
