I have recently heard that Krav Maga's weapons defense tactics are highly acclamied by top military and law enforcement personnel. Does anyone on this forum know what principles they follow. How does its weapons defenses differ from that of the filipinos.

I don't know much about krav maga. I read that it's an israeli self defense method, and it's either their national sport or their national defense method or something..it's got some official status. I'm pretty sure I read that it's part of their physical education program in the schools as well (same thing I once heard about thai boxing with the Thai people, but never recieved any kind of confirmation )
The thing I read also said it relies heavily on simple, natural responses to various attack forms.
I would imagine that it looks just like FMA. All fighting arts are starting to look the same to me. Same concepts reshuffled; some included, some left out.
I'd be curious to see their teaching methods, however.
ah..here it is.. http://www.kravmaga.com
that's where I got my info.
