I would like to impose on the readers of this forum to make a statement regarding my previous posts.
It has been two months + since I have had the time or ability to post in defend.net. My job involves travel to rural areas often with no access to internet or even a computer at times.

As a self-proclaimed "student" of martial history, I wanted to thank
Tuhon Rafael Kayanan of Sayoc Kali, for having the patience and taking the time to correct a stubborn upstart like myself on the issue of Bali-song origin.
Working in the rural areas of Lousiana I took the time to reflect how much
was "borrowed" by the world especially europe, after exposure to the kingdoms in that part of the globe, from the rice growing in the flooded fields, to the cock-fights that are traditional in parts of Lousiana.
I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to be corrected by a teacher Like Tuhon Kayanan, as a society we need more people dedicated to preserving the history and traditions that are lost and distorted through the ages.

so Id like to end this with a quote from my screenamesake................
"No man is so wise that he may not easily err if he takes no other counsel than his own. He that is taught only by himself has a fool for a master."
    -- Hunter S. Thompson
