  • FMA movies?

    Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any Martial Art films that include FMA. Similar to something like Ong Bak but featuring Eskrima?

    So far there has been:
The Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy
    The Hunted
    Game of Death

Does anyone know of any others or films from the Phillipines?

    Thanks!

It looks as if the next Mission Impossible is going to feature some stick work. I saw a picture in one of my girlfriends mags of Tom holding some sticks.

      Other titles to look into:

The Perfect Weapon with Jeff Speakman
      Martial Outlaw with Jeff Wincott

      Filipino titles:

Sticks of Death with Roland Dantes
      Kamagong with Lito Lapid
Mano Mano 3 The Lost Art of Arnis" with Ronnie & Bruce Ricketts

      Enjoy!

Although not FMA (you did mention Ong Bak) you should check out Bang Rajan which is another excellant Thai movie featuring lots of Thai sword work and lots of Krabi Krabong. Movie is based on the true events of the Burmese invasion of Siam.

I second that brutha! Bang Rajan is a movie, well done in epic form, with lots of great siamese ma! (couple of flying elbows, and knees, some thai boxing, and a TON of double and single sword work extending to usage of the double axe! The production quality is sweet and Thai film quality is becoming more and more impressive every time I watch it! Also saw TOMYUMGOONG aka Ong bak 2, sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to see Bang Rajan and Tom Yum Gong! Thanks Dave Joyce and haumana2000.
I wonder who is doing Maritial Arts choregraphy in Mi:3 thanks for the info ryangruhn!
I think I missed Enter the Dragon off my list,as Bruce Lee uses sticks when he is underground beating up those henchmen guarding over the prisoners.
            Thanks!

              FMA Films

There seem to have them all, but I'm sure there are titles not so wide spread in Tagalog. There is also Pacific Connection, and some I've seen in Tagalog but I don't remember titles. regards, Greg

has anyone seen the awesomely terrible "the vault"?
featuring laci szabo, bas rutten and diana lee insosanto?

there's a baton fight scene (that inosanto is in).
some ok knife fight sequences too.
and fma technique is used throughout the flick.

but as one reviewer on imdb said: "so bad, it's awful"

I thought there was already an ong bak 2, the story of how thailand was formed... that movie sent me to sleep several times.
