  • Tuhon Tom Kier seminar in Lille

This was yet another excellant weekends training with Tuhon Tom who was assisted by Guro Chuck Giangreco. On Friday night we covered Stickgrappling and reviewed some of the material we'ed already covered but receiving some great detail from Tuhon Tom along with working on newer material also.

Saturday began with Panantukan Levels 2 and 3 and Guro Chuck demoed Level 3. After the break we worked on Receiver Grips and finished with Tuhon Tom explaining what we would be working the following day.

Sunday the group worked on Transitional Drill 1 with those who were familiar with the Drill helped teach it to the others and after the break the Feeders became Receivers and vice versa. After someone asked a question about projectiles Tuhon Tom did an impromtu demo and basic explanation of projectiles and resumed with the training shortly afterwards. Although we trained for about 6 hours on Sunday Tuhon Tom and Guro Chuck only got about a 15 minute break as they took the more advanced students through Stop Locks during the lunch break. All in all a really terrific weekend and we're eagerly looking forward to next month when Tuhon Tom will return to Warwick for a seminar hosted by Guro Krishna Godhania (European rep for Sayoc Kali). For anyone living in Britain, its a seminar I would highly recommend.
